Means Death to Sin”
The theme of Colossians is Jesus first.
Chapters 1-2 portray

portray surpassing and satisfying life of Christian. The
emphasis is on how the Christian lives.

2A. The Contrast – “which are on the earth”
(1 Corinthians 10:12-13)

- 1C. Fornication (Hebrews 13:4)
- 2C. Uncleanness (Mark 7:17-23)
4C. Evil desire
2B. Idolatry – “and covetousness, which is idolatry”
(1 Corinthians 10:14; 1 Kings 11:1-13)

Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).
- 2. We must understand that what we look at and think

words and deeds.
- 3. We must understand that seeking help from another
Christian is good and right so we may honor Christ with
