What Does the Future Hold?
Passage: Malachi 4:1–4:6
Malachi gives attention to things that are immutable such as the
LORD (3:6), His judgment (4:1), and His Law and promises.
The significance of this epilogue is that these are the last words from
God to them for 400 years.

Over 400 years before Jesus came the first time, Malachi announced
His arrival in 3:1. Here in 4:1, Malachi announced His second
Whatever time is left before Jesus comes back is your
opportunity to repent and change. If you do, there will be future
blessing. If not, there will be a future judgment.
In the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 7:24-27), Jesus taught a
parable about two builders. The wise builder and the foolish
builder. The difference was the foundation upon which they build
their house. Build your life on the solid foundation of Jesus Christ.
