The Humble Joy of our Citizenship in Heaven

We’ve learned that the priority (3:7) and purpose (3:14) of Christian living involves the importance of walking properly (3:15-19) and this Sunday, we’ll consider the importance of waiting patiently. This verse points our attention to see that heaven is our present residency. We are citizens of heaven today! There is also an emphasis upon our future reality of heaven when we are forever with the Lord. Until that day, we are to be waiting and watching. May we behave as citizens of heaven, serve our Savior, and may we patiently wait for our King.
