The Humble Joy of Standing Fast in the Lord

We are going to learn about the value of standing fast in the Lord. With the trouble that is happening in the world and in life, this is a worthy trait to possess. God’s Word calls us to remember the power of Christ (3:21b). Christ is our source of power, His supply is unlimited, and all things are in subjection to Him. We are also called to remember our position in Christ (4:1). Standing fast is a command to be heeded to by the Christian. In addition, we are to stand fast together. The Apostle Paul used the words beloved, longed-for brethren, joy and crown to describe the helpful relationships that we have with one another. Our loving care is displayed when we stand fast together.
